bulletMicrosoft Certification Exam: The CAOT discipline is now a testing center for Microsoft Certification exams which will be available to students and district employees. Click here then click the MOUS Certification link for details.
bulletCongratulations to the CAOT Department for winning the Los Angeles Community College District Excellence in Workforce Development Award for 2005 for Creative Use of Instructional Technology. This Web site as well as the Keyboarding 1 Online Web site were recognized for their use of advanced technology to enhance classroom learning and provide students current, high quality tools and processes.

bullet Certificate program applications. We offer ten basic certificates of completion that require only two courses along with more advanced certificates. Click here for details and to download your application form. Last year's Certificates and Awards program was held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Applications for 2012 may be submitted beginning December 1, 2011, and are due by 4 p.m., March 29, 2012, in AD 304.

Certificate Programs 

 The CAOT Department at Los Angeles City College offers beginning, specialty, and expert certificate programs designed to prepare students for today’s office. Click here for more information.

Computer Applications 

We offer a wide variety of computer applications courses using state-of-the-art hardware and software In addition to traditional office and secretarial courses. Computer applications courses include MS Word, FrontPage, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Publisher, and Windows. All keyboarding courses use state-of-the-art software designed not only for learning touch-method typing but also for preparing documents using Word.

Classes are scheduled during the day Monday through Friday, evenings Monday through Thursday, and on Saturdays.
