Press ENTER 1 time begin the list.

Type the list unformatted (without the bullets or numbers) at the left margin double-spaced.

Press ENTER 1 time after the last line in the list.

Select all lines of the list and apply the number or bullet feature to the selected lines only. Do not include the blank lines above and below the list in your selection.

Use the Increase Indent button in Word to adjust the position of the list as needed to align with the indent on the paragraphs.
