TESTING:

Three production tests will be administered during the semester.  Each one will be timed for one hour and will consist of typing two or three documents and properly naming and saving them to a test disk provided by your instructor.  All documents will be evaluated for correctness in content and format.  One point deductions will be made for each error.  At the completion of the test, students will be expected to return BOTH THE TEST PAPER ITSELF AND THE TEST DISK to your instructor; all test materials are the property of the CAOT Department, and any student leaving the classroom with either the test paper, the test disk, or printouts of the test files will receive an "F" grade on the test.

Practice Tests.  Students should note that they are given the benefit of taking a "practice" test on similar documents the class meeting before the actual test so they  can be adequately prepared for the actual test.

Test Dates.  Check your assignment sheet for the dates on which tests will be administered.  All students will begin and end the test at the same time.  Late arrivals will also end the test with the rest of the class and will not be given additional time to complete their tests, so please be prompt!

Best three: ____  +  ____  +   ____   =   ____ /  3 =
A =  60+ wam w/7 errors max.
B =  55-59 wam w/7 errors max
C =  50-54 wam w/6 errors max.
D =  45-49 wam w/6 errors max.

If error limit is exceeded, letter grade lowered:  once, for 1-3 errors more; twice, for 4-6 errors more
Timed Production Tests: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
