1.
Pick up your folder, remove and review graded papers. If you
received a "unmailable" grade on an assignment, study the editing
required (compare your document against the textbook). Set this
printout aside to edit for homework after class. Place all other
graded papers in a folder at home.
2.
At this time, hand to your instructor any redo's of unmailables you did for homework from
last week. (Be sure your edited printout is stapled to the original
"unmailable" printout so that your instructor can quickly verify that all
required changes were made. Without the original unmailable
printout, your instructor would have to reread the
entire
document again, which she will not do.) A redo without the original
unmailable copy attached will not be regraded by your instructor, and the
original "unmailable" grade becomes an "F."
3.
In GDP,
do Lesson 75 ABCD, Lesson 76 ABCD, and Lesson 77 ABCD.
Refer to your Technique Evaluation sheet and concentrate on the next two
techniques listed as you do these skill building exercises.
4.
Teacher-led demonstration/discussion on Word features and document formats
needed for today's assignments (memo report format and text direction and
braced column headings in tables). Discuss using the Word "header"
feature to label printouts in the upper right corner of the first page of
your document with your name, exercise name, textbook page number, and
date. The header should print inside the 1" top margin of your
document so that it does not alter the vertical position of your document.
Every word processing document should be "labeled" in this manner.
5.
Exit GDP;
launch Word from the Windows desktop; create Report 75-57 according to textbook
directions. Create a header containing all required
information for page 1 of the report. Proofread, name, save, and
print the file.
6. Do
Table 76-26, a boxed table, according to textbook directions.
Create a header to "label" the assignment. Proofread, name, save, and
print the file.
7. Do
Table 77-30,
another boxed table, according to textbook directions. Label the
printout with an appropriate header. Proofread, name, save, and
print.
8.
Place all printouts in correct order in your folder and submit to your instructor.

the last class meeting. (Be sure your edited printout is stapled to the original
"unmailable" printout so that your instructor can quickly verify that all

3. Today's assignments:
a.
In GDP do
Lesson 78 ABCd and Lesson 79 ABCDEFG.
Refer to your Technique Evaluation sheet and concentrate on the next two
techniques listed as you do these skill building exercises.
Print your "portfolio report" for any lessons not checked off by your
instructor, including this week's Lessons 75-79. Place the
printout(s) in your folder.
b.
Exit GDP and
launch Word from the Windows desktop; do Table 78-34, a boxed
table in landscape orientation. The column headings for each column
should be centered, and all tables should be both vertically and
horizontally centered on the page.
c.
Next do Table 79-35, a two-page table with a repeating
header row. Ignore textbook instructions to number page 2 in
the upper right corner; instead, center the page number at the bottom so
that the page number doesn't conflict with the header you will create to
label the assignment.
d.
Then do
Table 79-36, a
revision of Table 79-35, sorting the table by river in ascending order.
e.
Place all table
printouts in your folder in the order listed on your assignment sheet.
f.
That's it for
today. Submit your folder and printouts to your instructor for grading.
Have a nice day!
ENJOY
YOUR
WEEKEND!
