Course Description

 Provides office spreadsheet applications using a PC and EXCEL.

OBJECTIVES

1.      Evaluate and demonstrate the features of Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet application software.

2.      Demonstrate the ability to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced spreadsheet features.

3.      Describe the organizational structure of a basic spreadsheet.

4.      Explain verbally and demonstrate the procedures for performing statistical operations.

5.      Demonstrate the use of formulas and functions.

 Text 1:

MICROSOFT EXCEL 2003, Complete, by Pasewark, Pasewark, and Cable, Course Technology, 2005. ISBN: 0-619-18354-3
SAM 2003 Assessment and Training for Microsoft Office 2003 Version 3.1.

Data files: Instructor will provide instructions for obtaining the data files.

Handouts: Additional handouts may be required. Instructor will provide information on obtaining this material.

 Materials: a USB drive; and a $5 materials fee (five dollars).
