Course Description

 This course will introduce you to the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.  No prior computer experience is assumed. You will be given an overview of Microsoft Windows XP, and learn to create and save files.  You will learn to use Windows Explorer to organize your files.  You will learn to personalize your Windows XP,  how to bring the World Wide Web to your desktop, and how to conduct searches for information. Next you will learn how to open and work with a graphic in Paint and how to link and embed an object.  You will then explore the basic network concepts working with Windows XP.  Next, you will learn how to manage Windows XP and work with the hardware of your computer.

  • Software: Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000 or higher

Supplies:

  • Two 3 ½” floppy disks or Jump Drive (removable storage device, Flash Drive)

  •  Manila folder will be provided to you by your instructor. $5.00 materials fee payable to your instructor
