Lesson Plan

Objective Test, Tutorial 4, 5, and 6
You will take a 60-minute, 91-question objective open book test on Tutorials 4, 5, and 6 under my direction. I will announce the test password at that time. After you take the test, you may leave.

  • Click the ExamView Player icon on the desktop to launch the test software.
  • Step 1: In the Login window in the Name box, type your first and last name without any errors, and click Next. Type all 9 numbers from your student ID accurately without spaces of hyphens. If you have any errors, you will not be able to log-on and take the test.
  • Step 2: Make sure that next to the folder button at the bottom, you see G:\Examview\tests so that your test will be saved on our server. If you don't, call me over for help to browse to fp2002 on 'acadntsrv3' (G:)\Examview\tests. Highlight Tutorial 4 5 6, and click Next.
  • Step 3: Enter your password, which I will announce, and click Next.
  • Read the directions and click Start to begin the test.

Final Web Site:
You will work on your Final Web site for the remaining week. See the Final Exam page for due dates and details. This is an ideal time and your last chance to get critical questions answered. Use it wisely. Do not ask me to "grade" your pages—that is not the purpose of class today. I am here to help clarify questions or help with technical issues. The best way to proceed today if you haven't already done this is to print out the Final page and use it like a checklist crossing off one step at a time as you move through it. I think you will be surprised to find that you have already completed the most difficult tasks on the list.

Today, I will ask to see the following:

  1. The Final page with working hyperlinks to any finished items.
  2. Your finished home page. I will check for appearance and content.
  3. A navigation view of all pages on your Web site (even if they're empty). I will check the logic and organizational structure of your pages.
  4. Your top and bottom shared borders. Remember that your home page and all Child Level 1 pages should have a top shared border with a link bar that points to Child pages under home and Home. Navigation on all other pages should be customized as needed. In general, you should be able to navigate across, up, or down the navigation tree. You should never be "stuck" navigationally on any page.
  5. A guest book form (or other form with required fields).
  6. Your frames pages with link bars.

Homework

E-mail assignments with this e-mail icon to me no later than Sunday at noon unless otherwise announced. No assignments are accepted late. In all e-mail messages, the subject line should be Your Name, last 4 numbers of your student ID, project ID.
