Procedures: These Teacher/Instructional Assistant (TIA) checklist is to be completed by the Instructional Assistants (IA). IAs should assign
tasks as appropriate to Student Workers (SW) and follow-up to
make sure items are completed. The IA should post this checklist
prominently on the cupboards in each room. At the end of the month, the
IA should put up a new checklist, initial this checklist, and turn it in
to the Department
Chairperson.

 | Make sure rooms are clean. Supervise students workers to clean and check desktops, mice, monitors, printers, cupboards, desks, etc. |
 | Provide support to online instructors as needed including network
connections, software installation, testing, and contacting students
at the start of the semester. |
 | Fix or report needed repairs via the Plant
Facilities Web Site College Maintenance Request,
follow up on repairs. Encourage teachers to use Lab
Repair slip or leave note. |
 | Work and rotate between labs on an "as needed"
basis. |
 | Work cooperatively to close labs as needed for maintenance or
lunch breaks while always having one lab open. |
 | Post signs outside the lab doors to notify students of an open
lab. Unlock and lock both classroom doors as needed. |
 | Supervise student workers to be sure tasks are being completed. |

 | Schedule weekly cleaning with Maintenance and follow up to make sure it's done. Coordinate with other IA's on scheduling this. |

 | Standardize Windows settings in CAOT
Department profile as
indicated in the Lab

 | DJ: Check for Windows Updates on master computers. |

 | Schedule the labs so that at least one lab will be open all day
beginning with the arrival of the first IA and ending with the
departure of the last IA, including lunch. |
 | Prepare/Distribute master lab schedule and post on doors
(open/closed labs, student worker schedule). |
 | Help instructors update any Profiles as needed. |
 | Site license inventory and software inventory with
cupboards labeled. |
 | Schedule regular LCD maintenance with Audio Visual. |
 | Hotmail Monthly: Go to each Hotmail
account and delete mail so the
storage limits will not be exceeded and the account will remain
